Guwahati office of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a notification for recruitment to the post of Pharmacist. This recruitment will be done on contract and part-time basis. Under this, a total of two pharmacists will be appointed. This opportunity is special for those candidates who have experience in the field of pharmacy and want to work with a reputed institution like a bank.
According to the information released by RBI, the selected pharmacists will be deployed at two different places located in Guwahati. The first location is RBI Main Office Complex, Station Road, Panbazar, Guwahati – 781001. The second location is RBI Officer Colony, GS Road, Christian Basti, Guwahati – 781005. Candidates will have to provide services at these places only.

The application process for this recruitment has been kept offline. Interested candidates will have to deliver their application form to the concerned address by 5 pm on March 9, 2026. Applications received after the stipulated time will not be accepted. Who can apply
Some essential qualifications have been fixed for RBI Pharmacist Recruitment 2026. It is necessary for the candidate to have passed matriculation i.e. 10th class. Along with this, it is mandatory to have Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a recognized institute. Apart from this, candidates having Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree can also apply.

Experience has been given special importance in this recruitment. The candidate should have at least two years of experience as a pharmacist. Candidates who have worked in a public sector bank, government undertaking or any government institution will be given preference. Along with this, the candidate should have basic knowledge of computer, so that daily work can be done easily.

While applying, candidates will have to attach some important documents. These include proof of age, 10th class certificate, certificate of educational qualification related to pharmacy, registration certificate of State Pharmacy Council and experience certificate.
If the candidate comes from a reserved category, then caste certificate will also have to be submitted. Apart from this, a recent passport size photograph will also have to be given along with the application. Only self-attested photocopies of all documents will be valid.
How much salary will you get?
Candidates selected under RBI Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 will be given a remuneration of Rs 400 per hour. The working time has been fixed at a maximum of 5 hours per day. Working hours in a week will not exceed 30.
This appointment will be for a maximum contract period of 240 days. The thing to note is that this appointment will be completely temporary and it will not give any right to a permanent job in RBI.
