West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) has issued recruitment notification for a total of 8477 Group-C and Group-D posts in the state. The Commission has also released the dates for the application process. Applications for these posts will start from November 3, 2025, while the last date to apply has been fixed as December 3, 2025 at 5 pm. Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the Commission www.westbengalssc.com.
Talking about educational qualification, to apply for Group-C posts (like clerk etc.), candidates must have passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination from a recognized board in India. To apply for Group-D posts, it is necessary for the candidate to have passed at least 8th class.
To apply, the minimum age of the candidates has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age has been fixed at 40 years. However, as per government rules, reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation. SC and ST candidates will get 5 years relaxation and OBC candidates will get 3 years relaxation.
This much application fee will have to be paid
For both Group-C and Group-D posts, candidates belonging to General, OBC and EWS categories will have to pay a fee of Rs 400. Whereas for SC, ST and disabled candidates this fee has been kept at Rs 150.

Selection will be like this
Written examination will be conducted in the selection process for these posts. The Commission will release the exam date later on its website. Document verification and other formalities will be completed after the written examination, after which appointment will be given to the eligible candidates.

After this, do a new registration by entering your basic information. After registration, the candidate will have to upload the scanned copies of his/her required documents and information related to educational qualification.
