A great news has come to light for the students dreaming of admission in top colleges of engineering. Joint seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA) has officially released the seat allotment list of the first round of counseling 2025 today, on 14 June.
Students who have qualified JEE Advanced and JEE Main 2025 can now check their seat allotment status by visiting Josaaa’s website josaaaa.nic.in. A total of 62,853 seats will be given through JOSAA Counseling 2025. Of these, 18,160 seats are only in IITs, while the rest will be filled in institutions like NITs, IIITs and GFTIS.
Counseling schedule
- Seat allotment (round 1): June 14, 10 am
- Online Reporting (Fee and Documents): 14 to 18 June, from 5 pm
- Problem solution related to fee payment: June 19, till 5 pm
- Last date to answer students’ questions: June 20, till 5 pm
List of necessary documents
- Class 10 Marksheet (for the date of birth)
- 12th marksheet
- Certificate for reserved category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS)
- PWD Certificate (if applied)
- Medical Certificate (In Annexure 7 format)
- Photo or canceled check of bank passbook
- OCI/Pio Card or Passport (If applied)

New rule in admission process
Josaa has made a big change this year. Between Round 2 and 5, students will need to confirm or leave their seat. If a student does not take any decision during this time, he will be debarred from JEE Advanced. The purpose of this rule is that no other qualified student should be deprived of the seat.
How to do Josaa Round-1 seat allotment check
- First go to the official site josaa.nic.in
- Click on the link “View Round-1 Seat Allocation”
- Enter JEE Main 2025 application number, password and captcha
- Login and see your seat allotment result on screen
- Download the result and save for further processing
