Foreign Minister S. regarding India-Pakistan relations and Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) in Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir. Jaishankar has given a big statement. Jaishankar said that just as there are good terrorists and bad terrorists, there are good military leaders and some not so good leaders.
S. Speaking to Hindustan Times on Saturday (December 6, 2025), Jaishankar said, ‘The reality of the Pakistani Army has always been clear to India and many of our problems also arise from there.’
Jaishankar spoke on the question of India’s diplomacy
On the question of India being diplomatically stuck, Jaishankar said, ‘Look at the condition of Pakistan, look at its differences, its capabilities and also its respect and reputation. We should not get too attached to it. Yes, there are some issues and we will deal with them accordingly.
We have to follow some rules and norms: Jaishankar
On the question of India using some different methods during Operation Sindoor, Jaishankar said, ‘The kind of country we are, we have to follow some rules and norms.’
He said, ‘I look at it two ways. As far as India is concerned, we do some things and some we don’t do. That’s why we are India. We have rules, we have some standards. If we take any step then in this country we are accountable to the public, to the media and to the civil society.
What did Jaishankar say on Putin’s visit to India?,
Foreign Minister S. on the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India. Jaishankar said, ‘It is very important for a country like India to have major relationships in good condition.’ He said, ‘For a country like ours, which is a big country, which is emerging and which is expected to play an increasingly important role, it is important that the special and important relations that we have should be strong. We should maintain good cooperation with as many countries as possible and we have the freedom to choose our options, so in short this is what is called foreign policy.
