Venezuela Crisis: There is a stir in American politics regarding American military action in Venezuela. While Republican leaders are saying that President Donald Trump’s decision is correct, the Democratic Party says that this step has been taken without any clear plan and without asking Parliament.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other senior government officials informed Congress leaders late Monday night about the military action taken in Venezuela. This meeting took place at a time when questions are being raised that Trump did not consult lawmakers and it is not clear how America will handle Venezuela in the future.

Republican leaders supported

According to APTN report, in this closed meeting held in the Capitol, most of the Republican leaders supported Trump’s decision. He justified the action of removing Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro from power. Many Democrat MPs came out after the meeting with more questions.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration has deployed US Navy ships near the Venezuelan coast. Also, American companies are being asked to reinvest in Venezuela’s weak oil industry. A proposal to ban the use of US military in Venezuela without the approval of Congress will be presented for voting in the US Senate this week.

Chuck Schumer raised questions

Earlier on Monday, Senate Democratic Party leader Chuck Schumer said that no one regrets what happened to Nicolas Maduro. But he accused the Trump government of not having any clear plan as to what to do next regarding Venezuela.

Chuck Schumer said, ‘All day Sunday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio was busy managing Trump’s mistakes. Even after this, the President again said that America will run Venezuela for some time. They don’t have any plan. They are just taking steps in the chaos.
