A very sad and shocking incident has come to light from Banglaghat area in Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh. The clothes of 80-year-old retired female teacher Premlata Mishra, who was warming herself near the heater in the house to escape the harsh cold, suddenly caught fire. The fire spread so fast that she could not save herself and got seriously burnt.
Somehow the neighbors pulled him out and took him for treatment, but he died there. Since Premlata was living alone, she had no family members or relatives, so the neighbors performed her last rites. At present, the police have started investigating the entire incident and their close family members are also being searched.
What was the entire incident?
The woman was alone in the house at the time of the incident. As soon as the fire broke out, neighbors heard their screams and reached the spot and broke the door and entered inside. Somehow the fire was controlled and the woman was immediately admitted to the Medical College Hospital, Jhansi, where she died during treatment. Premlata Mishra had been a teacher in a government school and had retired many years ago. Her husband had already died and she had no children. She was living alone for a long time. After the incident it came to light that there was no contact even with his close relatives.
Neighbors performed the last rites
Setting an example of humanity, the neighbors got the post-mortem process completed and also decided to take up the responsibility of the last rites. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire locality due to this incident. Police say that in the preliminary investigation, this accident seems to have happened due to the clothes catching fire while heating with the heater. Investigation of the matter is ongoing.
