Former Vice President of America Kamala Harris has once again launched a scathing attack on her old political rival President Donald Trump and his policies. During the ‘A Day of Unreasonable Conversation’ conference organized at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, Harris described the Trump government as an example of madness and during this he also used abusive words. The event was part of the promotion of his new autobiography 107 Days. This is a book in which he has shared his defeat in the 2024 US Presidential elections and the emotional struggles that followed.
Harris said in his speech that this period is not only a political but also a historical turning point. He asked artists and writers to try to reflect the feelings of this period in their work. We are making history right now. You, the storyteller, are not just a spectator. You are inside this story. Whatever we are feeling, put it into our characters and words. He said that today’s America is going through a period of confusion and imbalance, where many people are feeling lost. People think that they have gone mad, whereas in reality it is not they who are mad, but the people in power. After this comment, he used some abusive words in a light manner, on which the entire auditorium echoed with laughter and applause.
autobiography 107 days
Kamala Harris’s autobiography ‘107 Days’ narrates the story of her 2024 election campaign and her defeat against Trump. Recalling the election night, she has written in this book that she was speechless and in shock. I was just saying over and over again, Oh God, Oh God. I have never felt so much pain, except the moment when my mother passed away. Harris said that the election result was a moment of collective mourning not only for him but for the entire country. According to him, this was the time when America chose a leadership that was dividing the society and weakening institutions.
Serious allegations against Trump
In her speech, Harris accused Trump of abuse of power and weakening democratic institutions. He said that Trump’s administration is working only for the rich and corporate interests. We are seeing a President who is filling the coffers of himself and his friends. He’s raising taxes on the working class and cutting social programs like SNAP and Medicaid. Ignoring science and putting the army on the streets. Harris also said that the Trump government has ignored sensitive issues like cancer research, environmental policies and climate security. This government does not believe in science and when a country rejects science, it turns its back on its future.
