Kanagana Ranaut Claims 1 Lakh Rupees Electricity Bill in Himachal Pradesh HPSEBL Responds

Kangana ranaut electricity bill: BJP MP from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, Kangana Ranaut had claimed that her one month electricity bill is coming to one lakh rupees. She too in the house where she does not even live. The political atmosphere was hot since this claim of the BJP MP. Now Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) has responded by rejecting this claim of Bollywood actor and MP.

HPSEBL rejected the claim of Kangana Ranaut that the electricity bill has come to one lakh rupees in his ’empty’ Manali house. HPSEBL said that a bill of Rs 90,384 has come in cogthers, including January and February. It also includes old dues.

Kangana Ranaut criticized Sukhu government
In fact, Lok Sabha member Kangana Ranaut was on a tour of Mandi parliamentary constituency on Wednesday (April 9). During this, he spoke to the public and mentioned his ‘increased electricity bill’. With this, Sukhwinder Singh of Himachal was targeted by Sukhu government. The video of this claim of Kangana Ranaut became increasingly viral on social media.

In the video, Kangana Ranaut is seen saying, “I have received a one -month electricity bill for my house in Manali. I am not even there. I am not there. What a bad situation.” HPSEBL termed Kangana’s claim as ‘completely wrong and misleading’, saying that the bill of Rs 90,384 is for two months (January and February 2025), including the previous arrears of Rs 32,287.

Kangana Ranaut outstands from October to December
According to the news agency PTI report, HPSEBL also said that Kangana Ranaut did not pay her bill from October to December on time. The total electricity bill of Kangana’s residence for October, November and December 2024 was Rs 82,061, which was not paid on time.

“January and February bills were paid on March 28. The total consumption during this period was 14,000 units. Thus it is clear that the monthly power consumption at Kangana’s residence was very high, which ran from an average from 5,000 units to 9,000 units. They also get subsidy given by the Government of Himachal Pradesh on electricity bill. ”
