Giving information in the defamation case, Bebe Mahinder Kaur’s lawyer Raghubir Singh Brahminwal has said that Kangana Ranaut’s lawyer had filed an application for exemption from appearance in the court, which has been rejected by the court.

If Kangana Ranaut does not appear on January 15, an arrest warrant will also be issued. Along with this, his bail order will also be rejected. During the last hearing, the court had shown a strict attitude and made it clear that this time he will have to appear under any circumstances.

At a time when the farmers were protesting against the agricultural law against the central government in Delhi. At that time, Bebe Mahinder Kaur, a resident of village Bahadur Garh Jandia in Bathinda, had filed a petition alleging that Kangana Ranaut had posted a post against her on her social media account. A few days ago, Kangana Ranaut had talked about ending this case in the Supreme Court. However, the Supreme Court did not approve it.

This entire matter is of the year 2021. When the historic farmers movement was going on on the borders of Delhi. During that time, Kangana Ranaut had made a controversial tweet on the social media platform ‘X’ (then Twitter) by sharing the picture of an elderly woman.

Kangana had mistaken 87-year-old farmer Mahinder Kaur, resident of village Bahadurgarh Jandia in Bathinda, as the ‘grandmother’ of Shaheen Bagh. He had said, ‘Such women are available to join the protest for Rs 100 each.’ This comment had hurt the sentiments of not only Mahinder Kaur but the entire farming community. Mahinder Kaur had filed a defamation case against Kangana, calling it tarnishing her image.
