Delhi news: In the 2020 code of conduct violation case, which has created a stir in the politics of Delhi, the court’s stand is now getting more tough. The Rouse Avenue Court, taking a serious stand against Delhi Law Minister Kapil Mishra, has ordered the Delhi Police to “present the full report related to his alleged controversial tweet (X post)”.
The court clearly stated that DCP North West personally get information about the posts made by Kapil Mishra from ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) and file a detailed status report. The court reiterated that no laxity will be tolerated now. The next hearing in this case will now be held on 8 April, which is considered important.
Minister Kapil Mishra sought relief from court
The lawyer of Minister Kapil Mishra argued in the court that the budget session of Delhi Assembly is starting from March 24. As a minister, he is busy with many meetings and could not appear in the court due to government work. The court approved one day exemption from his appearance.
No relief from Delhi High Court
Significantly, Kapil Mishra had already challenged the summons issued by the Rouse Avenue Court in the High Court. But the High Court flatly refused to interfere in the order of the lower court. This decision was considered a major setback for Kapil Mishra. Now it has to be seen what a new twist comes in the hearing to be held on April 8. Will the police report increase Kapil Mishra’s difficulties or will he get relief? During the next hearing in the court, another big story of Delhi politics can be written.
