Pawan Singh has contested 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Karakat.

In that election, he performed brilliantly and secured second place and pushed former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha to third place. During that time, Jyoti Singh had campaigned extensively in the entire area in support of her husband.
Jyoti Singh has been connected with the public
Although Pawan Singh had to face defeat in the election results, Jyoti Singh did not give up her connection with the area. Even after the elections, she continued to go among the public, listen to people’s problems and participate in local programs. This is the reason why he has created a distinct influence and identity among the people of Karakat.
Competition in Karakat on the verge of becoming a quadrilateral
In political circles, this step of Jyoti Singh is being considered as a big upheaval in the politics of Karakat. The contest was already interesting, but with Jyoti Singh entering the field, the possibility of the contest turning from triangular to quadrangular has increased.
NDA’s Mahabali Singh, Grand Alliance’s Arun Singh, BSP’s Bandana Raj, and Jan Suraj Party’s Yogendra Singh have also filed nominations from this assembly constituency. In such a situation, the election battle of Karakat has become completely heated.
Analysts made this claim
Local analysts believe that the support of youth and women that Pawan Singh got during the Lok Sabha elections can become a big support for Jyoti Singh this time. At the same time, it is also a challenge for the traditional political parties of the region to strengthen their hold on issues related to the public.
Jyoti Singh said that her goal will be focused on the development of Karakat and empowerment of women. He appealed that “We have come to bring change and transparency in politics, our resolve is to live up to the trust with which the public is looking at us.” When Jyoti Singh files her nomination this afternoon on the land of Karakat, it is being considered as not just a political program but the beginning of a new story. Where the Bhojpuri star’s wife is entering the field of politics directly from the hearts of the people.
