Dharma productions on sexual harrasment allegations: Prateek Shah, cinematographer of Karan Johar’s upcoming film ‘Homebound’, was accused of sexual harassment. On this, the production house of the film Dharma Productions has given clarification. While releasing a statement, Dharma Productions has said that he did not receive any such complaint against Prateek Shah during the shooting of the film.
According to Hindustan Times, Dharma Productions has released an official statement in which it is written- ‘In Dharma Productions, there is a poor behavior against any person working in any capacity and there is zero tolerance policy for a poor behavior and sexual harassment and we take the cases of sexual harassment very seriously.’
‘We did not get any complaint’
It is further written in the statement- ‘Mr. Prateek Shah was a freelancer on the’ Homebound ‘project and was working on it for Limited. His association with us has been completed. During this limited time period, our internal committee for POSH did not receive any complaint against any artist or crew of our film ‘Homebound’.
What is the matter?
Let me tell you that independent film maker Abhinav Singh had posted a post on his Instagram and made serious allegations against Prateek Shah. In the post, he alerted his female friends that he was careful with Cinematographer Prateik Shah. He claimed that many women had told him about the violent behavior of the cinematory. At the same time, film maker Srishti Riya Jain also shared a series of screenshots on her Instagram story and claimed that Prateek Shah has been on PRWL for 4 years.
About ‘Homebound’
The film ‘Homebound’ was recently a screening at the Cannes Film Festival where it received a 9 -minute standing ovation. Jahnavi Kapoor, Vishal Jethwa and Ishaan Khattar are in lead roles in the film, made under the banner of Dharma Production.
