Karan johar on single parent: Film maker Karan Johar did not marry but he became the father of two twins in 2017 through surrogacy. He has a daughter Ruhi and son Yash. Karan Johar is raising his children by becoming a single parent. Once on social media, someone accused Karan Johar that he is depriving his children of mother’s love. Now Karan has told that he was broken by this comment.

In a recent interview to Barkha Dutt, Karan Johar spoke on the question raised on single parent. He said- this broke my heart. Because for the first time, I questioned my decision to become a single parent. I believe that I can become everything for him – a parent, his mother, his father, his grandparents. I have that love inside me.

‘I sat alone in my room and cried’
Karan Johar further says- ‘But that comment forced me to think if I have done the right thing. The same morning, when I read that comment, I broke for a moment. I sat alone in my room and cried. I went to his (children’s) room and asked him if you are happy? And he said that yes, Dada is very happy. I asked him why and he just said because you are our grandfather.
