During this, he also revealed why he had chosen Ananya Pandey for the role of Dilrit Gill.

In an interview given to News18, Karan Singh Tyagi shared a information about the upcoming sequels of Kesari and revealed that Akshay Kumar would lead the franchise. He said that with the Kesari Chapter 2 title, they are advancing the neorating, in which more stories about anonymous heroes will be introduced.
Karan assured the fans that surely the franchise will have more films, all of them will be in Akshay in the lead role. He emphasized that Akshay Kesari and anonymous heroes are synonymous with his bravery and sacrifice, he praised his brilliant performance in the film.
Why was the cast done for Ananya Pandey for Kesari 2
Karan Singh Tyagi also revealed why Ananya Pandey was cast in Kesari Chapter 2 in 2022. Regarding this, he said that due to his great performance in Ananya’s depths, it was decided to cast him in Kesari 2. He spoke of being very impressed by Ananya’s performance in the depths and that is why the actress was offered the role of Dilrit Gill.
Karan also praised Ananya’s dedication for the film and also spoke on her performance in Kesari Chapter 2. He told that he had taken training to speak for more than a year and studied the methods of women lawyers. He also told that he also went to the Bombay High Court, where Ananya had observed a female lawyer to understand her role better.

Praising the preparations for her character in Ananya Pandey’s Kesari 2, Director Karan said that Pandey had done a lot of research on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Even read a book filled with poems written about the tragedy. She described the book as a “Bible”, as she used to take it with her on the set. He further explained that Ananya fully adopted the role of Dilrit Gill.
