Karnataka News: On Friday (March 21, 2025), 48 leaders in Karnataka saw a huge uproar in the assembly after allegations of honey trap. After this, the BJP MLA entered the Well in the assembly. The Karnataka Legislative Assembly passed a bill to suspend 18 BJP MLAs for six months to obstruct the assembly proceedings. The Bill was given the Bill Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs H.K. Patil introduced.

BJP MLAs were dropped from assembly

After this, these BJP MLAs were taken out of the assembly. A video has surfaced on social media, in which Marshall is seen hanging the BJP MLA out on his shoulders. On the suspension of 18 BJP MLAs from the House, MB Patil, a minister in the Karnataka government, said, “It is completely inappropriate for the members to behave in this way. They committed all possible violations in the assembly. This (suspension) is 100% appropriate.”

According to the report of news agency PTI, 18 BJP MLAs suspended include Doddnagauda Patil, Ashwath Narayan, Munitna. The bill giving 4 percent reservation to minorities in government contracts was passed in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly.

Uproar over the issue of honey trap in the assembly

KN Rajanna, a minister in the Karnataka government, had said in the House on Thursday (20 March 2025) that at least 48 leaders, including central leaders, were trapped in Honey Trap. He insisted that this issue is not limited to any one party. After this, on Friday i.e. Friday, BJP MLAs created a ruckus in the House, because some Congress MLAs were claiming a CD in their hands that they have evidence of the honey track.

Big conspiracy against MLAs- BJP

Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly R Ashok said, “This is not a matter of any party. It is a big conspiracy against the MLAs working for the public. Some people are doing this (honey trap) for their agenda.” CM Siddaramaiah defended his government and said, “There is no question of saving anyone in the Honey Trap case. According to the law, the culprits should be punished.”
