Kartik month has great importance in Hindu religion. According to beliefs, this month Lord Vishnu wakes up from yoga nidra. According to the scriptures, everyone must do 10 things in the month of Kartik. By doing these works one gets special blessings of Mother Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu. The month from 03 October to 05 November is called Kartik month.
In the month of Kartik, one should wake up in Brahma Muhurta and after taking bath, recite Damodar Ashtakam. Apart from this, along with chanting the names of Hari, one should circumambulate Tulsi ji 4 times.
Tulsi worship has special significance in the month of Kartik. Tulsi is very dear to Shri Hari, hence in this month one should serve him along with donating a lamp to Tulsiji.
In the month of Kartik, Tulsi ji’s aarti should be performed along with donating a lamp to Thakur ji. Apart from this, one should go to the temple every day and have darshan of God.
During the month of Kartik, along with reading Vaishnav scriptures, one should also listen to them.
If you get a chance in the month of Kartik, you should definitely visit Thakur ji in Vrindavan Dham. Apart from this, Kirtan should be done for at least half an hour every day.
By thinking silently in the month of Kartik, one attains God’s grace. Sri Hari is also very fond of animals. Therefore, in the month of Kartik, one should serve animals along with giving bread to cows.
