Kavita Krishnamurthy has given many superhit songs to Hindi cinema. One of these is ‘Hawa Hawai’ from Anil Kapoor and Sridevi’s blockbuster film ‘Mr. India’. This song is one of the favorite songs of Sridevi’s fans. Even today this song is played a lot in weddings and parties. Regarding this, now singer Kavita Krishnamurthy said, ‘When she sang this song, she was not singing many solo songs. At that time she was dubbing many songs for Laxmikant Pyarelalji and Lata ji.
Singer was shocked to see Javed Akhtar and Boney Kapoor
The singer further said, ‘When she went to the rehearsal room for this song, she was shocked, because there many people including Javed Akhtar, Boney Kapoor were waiting for a new singer like her. When I reached there, Lakshmi ji told me to take out my paper and write, ‘Chihuahua’… Then she made me write Honolulu, Lulu… and so on.”
Singer made this big mistake in the song
After this the singer revealed his mistake in the song. He told, “When after six months, Lakshmi ji called me and told that he will keep this song in my voice only because it suits Sridevi ji, then I said, “Lakshmi ji, thank you very much, but I made a mistake in one word. I sang “Jinu jo tumne baat chuphai” instead of “Jaanu”, but Laxmikant said that it was right and it suited Sridevi. If you see Sridevi ji in the song, you will feel that Jinu is the right word..”
