Remembering Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan says- ‘The film Ikkis is a precious symbol of his for us, which is left behind for millions of people. An artist wants to practice his art till his last breath and this is what my friend, my family and my idol, Dharmendra Deol ji did. Dharam was not just a person. He was a feeling, and a feeling never lets anyone go. They just inspire you to move forward in the form of memories and blessings.

During this, Amitabh Bachchan also narrated one of his anecdotes with Dharmendra. He said- ‘We were shooting in Bangalore. He had a special physical quality; He was a wrestler, a hero. In the death scene, the pain that was visible on the screen was real because he was holding me so tightly that the pain became natural acting.

At the same time, Ikkis director Sriram Raghavan also paid tribute to Dharmendra. He said- ‘I am very fortunate that he worked in my last film and his last performance was such that he was very special.’
