In the information shared on the official social media account of the District Magistrate in Ghaziabad, it was written – Keeping in view the serious situation of the current war and security conflict in the Iran/Iraq region, it is extremely important in public interest that the details of such citizens of Ghaziabad district should be available with the district administration, who are currently living, working, traveling in Iran or Iraq or are stranded for any reason, or have recently returned to India from there.
The District Magistrate wrote that the purpose of this information is to ensure the safety of the affected citizens, necessary assistance, quick contact, coordination and timely action by the Central/State Government, so that in any emergency the administration can provide prompt assistance.
