Many initiatives have been taken by the government to make education accessible to every child in India. The two most important names among these are Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. Both these schools are run under the Ministry of Education and work to provide good education to millions of students across the country. But often this question arises in the minds of people that what is the difference in the salary of teachers working in these two institutions and now when the discussion about the 8th Pay Commission is intense, it is also interesting that how much the salary of teachers can increase after the implementation of this commission. Navodaya Vidyalaya and Kendriya Vidyalaya

Kendriya Vidyalaya or Navodaya Vidyalaya, whose teacher gets more salary?

Both KV and NVS pay salaries as per 7th Pay Commission rules. In which the pay scale for PGT ranges from Rs 47,600 to Rs 1,51,100 per month i.e. the pay scale is almost the same in both the institutes. However, Navodaya teachers get some additional facilities due to being a residential school. KV has regular school timings, whereas NVS has residential responsibilities. That is why many people believe that NVS teachers have more facilities, while the salary is almost equal.

How much will the salary increase after the 8th Pay Commission?

Government employees have been waiting for the 8th Pay Commission for a long time. After the formation of the commission, the employees are now waiting for its report, which will be submitted within 18 months. The National Council Joint Consultative Machinery (NC JCM) has sent a new suggestion to the government. In which a family of 5 members should be made the basis. Husband, wife, two children and parents should be included in this. At present only 3 unit model is applicable in the 7th Pay Commission. The total units in the new model are proposed to be 4.2. This can lead to a significant increase in the minimum wage. As per the estimated fitment factor for the 8th Pay Commission, Kotak in its report has estimated a fitment factor of 1.8, i.e. about 13 percent increase.
