Sarada muraleedharan on color: Kerala Chief Secretary Sharda Muralitharan has responded on Wednesday (March 26, 2025) by writing an open letter to those who compared with discrimination on the basis of color, gender and their husband’s tenure. He said that these are some such things that should be discussed openly.
While writing a post on social media platform Facebook, he said that he had written a post, which was later removed because she was nervous about the kind of reactions coming. She further said that she is putting this post again because her well -wishers told her that there are some things that should be discussed and I agree.
What wrote in Facebook post?
Sharda Muralitharan wrote, ‘I heard an interesting comment on my tenure as the Chief Secretary yesterday that it is as black as my husband’s term was white. I have to accept my blackness. This is the post that I wrote in the morning but removed.
He further said, ‘It was about putting a black label (with that quiet meaning of being a woman) as if it is something that is a matter of great shame. Black is the one who blacks. The color is not only black but black is that which does not do well, the heart of black unhealthy, cold autocracy and darkness. ‘
The Chief Secretary said, ‘Then why should Kale be maligned. Black color is the universal truth of the universe. Black color is one that can absorb anything, the most powerful pulsing of energy known for mankind. This is the color that causes everyone, it is a dress code for the office, the shine of evening clothes, the essence of Kajol, the promise of rain.

Muralitharan also mentioned childhood incident
Muralitharan wrote about her childhood incident, ‘When I was four years old, I asked my mother if she can send me back into her womb and make me blond and beautiful again. I have been buried under this story for more than 50 years that my color is not good and I believe in that story. Not seeing beauty or value in black color. Being fascinated by fair skin. And the fair mind and all that was fair and good and healthy and realizing that I am not a lower person because of not being it, who should be compensated in some way. “
