Family sources have told the news agency PTI that a girl named Zia Puris, a native of Peruvallur, was attacked by a stray dog ​​on 29 March. The attack on the girl took place when she went to buy sweets from a shop near her house. He said that the girl suffered a serious injury to her head, face and papers and she had been undergoing treatment at the Government Medical College Hospital in the neighboring Kozhikode district for several days.

Rabies confirmed on investigation

According to family sources, the girl died in the early hours of Tuesday. The girl’s father Puris said that soon after the dog was bitten by the dog, Jia was given rabies vaccine and related medicines at the Medical College Hospital. He said that after getting the vaccine, he was discharged, but after a few days he got fever and later on investigation, rabies was confirmed.

The father said that the girl was re -admitted and she was in the intensive medical unit (ICU) for the last few days. The doctors of the hospital said that due to deep injury to the girl’s head, the infection must have reached her mind, which would have reduced the vaccine.

What to do in a dog bites?

In the event of children being bitten by the dog, show him to a good doctor. Also, get the entire body checked up. It is possible that the wounds may also be placed in a place where you do not see.
