Kia has introduced the new generation 2026 Kia Seltos in India, while Tata Motors’ Tata Sierra is also in the news due to its powerful design and premium features. Seltos vs Sierra who is ahead in features?
- The company has included many high-tech and premium features in the new Kia Seltos. This SUV comes with a 30-inch twin display setup, which includes a digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment system. Apart from this, features like wireless charger, ventilated seat, 10-way power driver seat, ambient light, 8 Bose speakers, panoramic sunroof and Level-2 ADAS make it even better.
- Tata Sierra, on the other hand, proves to be even more premium in terms of features. The Sierra gets LED projector headlights, connected LED tail-lights, flush door handles, triple-screen setup, 360° camera, blind-spot monitor, Hypr HUD, dual-zone climate control, 12-speaker Dolby Atmos system and the largest panoramic sunroof in the segment. Apart from this, features like rear sunshade, air purifier, cooled glove box and powered tailgate are also provided. In terms of features, Tata Sierra clearly surpasses Seltos.
Whose engine is more powerful?
- Talking about the engine, the new Kia Seltos comes with three engine options – 1.5L petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel. Their powers are 115 PS, 160 PS and 116 PS. The Seltos offers manual, IVT, IMT and automatic transmission options. Tata Sierra also gets three engine options – 1.5L Turbo Petrol (160 PS), 1.5L Revotron Petrol (106 PS) and 1.5L Diesel (118 PS). The special thing is that the diesel engine of Sierra gives torque of 280 Nm, which is more than Seltos. For this reason, Sierra will be considered stronger in terms of diesel performance.
Which is bigger in size?
- Talking about dimensions, the new Kia Seltos is 4,460 mm long and 1,830 mm wide and its wheelbase is 2,690 mm. In comparison, Tata Sierra is 4,340 mm long, but its width is 1,841 mm and wheelbase is 2,730 mm. This means that the Seltos is longer and slightly wider, but the Sierra has more cabin space due to its longer wheelbase.
Whose price is more affordable?
- The price of Tata Sierra starts from Rs 11.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.49 lakh for the top model. The price of the new Kia Seltos will be announced on January 2, 2026, but it is expected that its starting price will be slightly higher than that of Sierra.
