Kia Syros EV was recently spotted testing on Indian roads. It is believed that this new electric SUV can be launched in the Indian market by the year 2026. At the time of testing, the car was completely under cover, but still some of its design cues were clearly visible. It is being told that its look will be slightly different from the petrol model. It can be given new front lighting, different bumper design and special type of wheels, which are usually seen in electric vehicles.

A new lamp design can also be seen at the rear of the vehicle. The company’s badge was also covered, due to which it is being speculated that it will have special electric branding. Overall, its size and body style may remain the same as the existing Syros, but some different design elements will be added to it according to the electric model.

Platform and Battery

Kia Syros EV can be built on the company’s small or mid-sized electric SUV platform. There is a possibility that Kia will focus on local production for this in India. This can help in keeping the price under control and it can reach more people. Although the company has not yet shared official information, but according to reports, it can have the option of 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery pack. Once fully charged, its range can be more than 360 kilometers. If this happens then it can become a good option for daily driving in the city and long distance journeys. In the electric segment, it can give tough competition to companies like Hyundai, Tata and MG.

launch timeline

Kia is rapidly expanding its electric vehicle portfolio in India. Under this plan, Syros EV can be launched by 2026. It is believed that this model will be part of the company’s new electric series. After launch, this SUV can make its place in the compact electric segment.
