Virat further wrote, “For the first time in Test cricket, I wore ‘Bagi Blue’ 14 years ago. To be honest, I never thought on which journey this format would take me on. He took my exam, coined me and teach me a lesson that I will keep with me all my life.”

Kohli wrote in his farewell note for this format of cricket, “Playing in white clothes is very personal. Working in peace, long days, short moments that no one sees, but these moments are always with you.”

He further wrote, “It is not easy when I am going away from this format of the game. But it seems right. I have given it everything and it has given me more than expectations. I will always see my Test career smiling.”
