Kolkata Knight Riders vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru: IPL 2025 is starting from today. The first match of the 18th season is between RCB and KKR. The match will be played at the Home Ground Eden Gardens in Kolkata. After 18 years, an opening match is being played between Kolkata and Bengaluru in the IPL. The last time in the first season i.e. IPL 2008, both teams were face to face in the first match.
Interestingly, both teams have new captains and today both have a litmus test. RCB has made young Rajat Patidar captain. At the same time, KKR is commanded by senior batsman Ajinkya Rahane. Both would like to start their era with victory.
The shadow of rain on the match
There is a disappointing update for fans. KKR and RCB matches may be washed away in the rain. Heavy rains are expected in Kolkata during the match. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of 80 percent rainfall on Saturday. At the same time, during the match i.e. 50 percent expectation of rain from seven to late night has been expressed.

Talking about the head to head, a total of 34 matches have been played between KKR and RCB, out of which Kolkata has won 20 matches, while Bangalore has won in 14 matches. Even though KKR’s pan is heavy in the head to head, this time the RCB team is very strong.
