KL Rahul Diet Plan: Team India’s star batsman KL Rahul is as disciplined as he looks on the field, his diet is equally strict and planned. What do you eat for breakfast?

During a conversation on Jatin Sapru’s show Like an Athlete, Rahul told that his morning starts with the same thing almost every day, dosa and egg bhuji.

Rahul said that if he is at home, he eats dosa 6 days a week. His breakfast regularly consists of 4 eggs. Apart from this, he also eats banana, pomegranate and some other fruits so that he can get both carbohydrates and protein. The meaning is clear, Rahul gives his body plenty of energy and nutrition at the beginning of the day.

Lunch- Indian food is necessary wherever you are.

The most interesting part of KL Rahul’s diet is his lunch. He clearly told that wherever he is in the world, he definitely eats Indian food in the afternoon. He maintains the balance of carbohydrates and proteins very carefully in lunch.

On normal days: 150 grams rice

On Match Day/Training Day: 200 grams rice

Along with this, he takes 200–250 grams of protein, which mostly includes sea-food. Sometimes eat mutton also. Rahul also takes 150–200 grams of green vegetables in lunch. Be it beans bhuji or any other vegetable. Greens are an essential part of their diet.

Dinner – like lunch, but lighter

Rahul keeps dinner almost the same as lunch, just reduces the quantity. That means protein, some carbs and some vegetables. He prefers to eat light at night so that recovery can be better and the body is ready for the next day’s training.

Why is this diet special?

It is clear from Rahul’s diet plan that he is very serious about fitness. His diet includes balanced nutrition, exact quantity and changes every day as per the need of the body.

Before the second Test to be held in Guwahati, Rahul seems to be fully fit and perhaps this strict diet is also the big secret of his continuity.
