ICC New Rules 2025: The International Cricket Council (ICC) may implement new rules very soon. According to a media report, there is going to be a big change in the 2 -ball rule in ODI cricket. For the last several years, the issue has been arising that there is nothing left for the bowlers in white ball cricket. Now this new rule applies, then it can be helpful for the bowlers. According to a report published in cricbes, new rules can be applicable in ODI matches from next month, but these are the new rules and how will they be implemented.
First of all know which new rules ICC is going to implement. In fact, according to the old rule, in an innings of an ODI match, bowling was done with different balls from both ends. This means 25-25 overs were thrown from each ball. Now the new rule is applied, according to it, 2 different balls will be used from both ends till 1-34 overs. But the team who fielding from the 35th over will have to select one of the two balls.
ICC kind on bowlers
Where earlier 25-25 overs were thrown from both the balls, now only one ball will be used from the 35th over. Now the question is, how will the bowlers benefit from this? Due to the use of a new ball from both ends, reverse swing was rarely seen in ODI matches, but with this new rule, reverse swing will be seen in the last 10 overs.
It has often been questioned that due to the new ball rule from both ends, the batsmen were dominated in ODI matches. At the same time, if the ball has to be changed in the middle match under any circumstances, then according to the situation of the match, an attempt will be made to provide the same ball.
