A sensational incident that has put relations to shame has come to light from Korba district of Chhattisgarh. Here in Hardibazar police station area, a 25-year-old daughter brutally murdered her own father. After a minor altercation and a dispute over lifestyle, the daughter, without realizing it, attacked her father with a sharp weapon kept in the house and killed him. The police have arrested the accused daughter.
According to the information, the deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Ashok Kewat and the accused daughter has been identified as 25-year-old Geeta Kewat. It is being told that Geeta lived her life away from her family, which her father Ashok did not like at all. Her father had objections to Geeta’s lifestyle and mannerisms and would often advise her to return home and live properly.

Geeta had come to her father’s house for the last few days. On the night of the incident, the father again explained to him about his lifestyle and started interrupting him. There was a heated argument between the two on this matter. The dispute escalated so much that in anger, Geeta picked up the sickle kept in the house and attacked her father fatally. In this bloody conflict, Ashok Kevat died tragically on the spot.

As soon as information about the incident was received, Sapna Kevat, the younger daughter of the deceased, raised an alarm, after which the police was informed. Hardibazar police and Korba SP Lakhan Patle immediately reached the spot. The police have taken the accused Geeta into custody and have also seized the sickle used in the murder. SP Lakhan Patle said that in the preliminary investigation the matter seems to be a family feud and dispute over lifestyle. Police are also investigating whether anyone else was present there at the time of the incident. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
