Kota: Engineering student dies after falling from 9th floor, suicide or accident? Police engaged in investigation


The news of death of another engineering student has come from Kota district of Rajasthan. A 17-year-old student died after falling from a high-rise building in Jawahar Nagar area on Friday (21 November) afternoon. It is not yet clear whether he committed suicide or whether it was an accident. At present, the death of an engineering student has created a sensation in the city.

The student was a resident of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. After falling from the 9th floor of Royal Imperia Apartment in Kota, he was taken to the hospital in a critical condition, where he died after some time. The student was preparing for the Engineering Entrance Exam (JEE) by staying in Kota for the last two years. He lived here with his mother.

The child’s mother was present in the flat at the time of the incident. After the death of his son, he is in shock and is not in a position to say anything.

Initial police investigation has revealed that the student fell from a height but many questions remain as to how this happened. Police is investigating all aspects. The forensic team is also collecting evidence. Deputy SP Yogesh Sharma said that at present the other family members of the child are waiting to come from Bhopal. After that legal action will proceed.

The body has been kept in the mortuary of MBS Hospital. Jawahar Nagar police station has started investigating the CCTV of the apartment, condition of the flat, statements of neighbors and technical evidence. Police is trying to find out whether it was an accident or suicide?

Kota city of Rajasthan is called the factory of medical and engineering students. Thousands of children come here every year and prepare to make their career. The pressure of studies is so much that many times children are unable to bear it. This is the reason why many cases of student suicide have come to light in Kota. The government and administration have taken many steps regarding this, but till now there has been no success in reducing such cases.
