There is one such actress whose father was an army officer but he was hit by terrorists and he killed her. The actress herself has spoken openly about this.
We are talking about actress Nimrat Kaur, whose father was Major Bhupendra Singh. He was kidnapped by terrorists in Kashmir in 1994. When the actress’s father Major Bhupendra refused to accept the nefarious demand of the terrorists, he killed her. At that time he was just 44 years old and Nimrat Kaur was 12 years old.

Nimrat Kaur talked about the death of her father in an old interview to HeTIMS. He had said- ‘He was a young Army Major, an engineer who was posted on the army border streets on Verinag. Kashmir was not a family spot, so when he went to Kashmir, we kept living in Patiala. In January 1994, we went to Kashmir to meet our father during our winter holidays, when Hizb-ul-Mujahideen kidnapped him from his workstation and fired him after seven days.

Nimrat further stated that the terrorists had demanded the release of some other terrorists instead of releasing his father. Which was obviously not considered. The actress had said- ‘When she died, she was just 44 years old. We got the news and we came back to Delhi with his dead body and I saw his dead body in Delhi for the first time.
