The country’s well-known poet and former leader Kumar Vishwas has once again targeted Congress in his sharp style. This time his sarcasm was directly towards the country’s iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Mahatma Gandhi. During a program in Lucknow, Kumar Vishwas said sarcastically about the ideology and history of Congress that Congress never considered Sardar Patel as its own.
He said, “These people are so clever that they had kept a priest sitting outside the Congress office. When Sardar Patel was sitting outside, the BJP people brought him. Congress said that Patel was ours.”
‘Congress is stuck in names only’
Kumar Vishwas further said that Congress remained entangled in its own family and names. He said, “You remained busy with your grandfather, father, mother, aunt. When Patel was sitting outside, there was no one to ask,” Kumar Vishwas was pointing towards the familism of Congress, on which he had raised questions many times before.
Kumar Vishwas did not stop here in his statement. Referring to Mahatma Gandhi, he said that BJP should also bring Gandhiji. He said, “Gandhi ji is also saying Swadeshi, Ayurveda, reading Geeta, wearing Khadi. All the work is what the BJP people say.”
‘Congress has a fake Gandhi’- Kumar Vishwas
Along with this, he quipped that Congress already has ‘three fake Gandhis’, so what problem does BJP have in taking the real Gandhi.
This statement of Kumar Vishwas has come at a time when politics is intense in the country regarding the history and legacy of great men. His taunt is being considered as a direct attack on Congress. While the supporters are calling it an accurate satire, the Congress supporters are finding this statement distasteful.
