India’s first mythological animated series “Kurukshetra” is a modern take on the epic Mahabharata. In this show, the Kurukshetra war which lasted for 18 days is shown from the perspective of 18 warriors. From the internal conflicts of the warriors to the moral complexities of the Crusades, its story will be fresh and emotional. This series is finally going to debut on the leading OTT platform Netflix. The streaming platform has announced its streaming by releasing a new poster of this series on 9th October today.

When is Kurukshetra releasing?
The first season of Kurukshetra is set to premiere on October 10, 2025 only on Netflix. This is a two-part series and each part has 9 episodes. While releasing a new poster of this series today, Netflix has written in the caption, “The hour of doomsday is coming, the warriors of religion and unrighteousness are descending on Kurukshetra tomorrow. Watch Kurukshetra, tomorrow, only on Netflix.”


Kurukshetra plot
Produced by Anu Sikka, this animated mythological series will revolve around the 18-day long Kurukshetra war. This series will showcase the internal struggles and personal rivalries of 18 warriors. From Arjun’s dilemma to Draupadi’s fearlessness and Bhishma Pitamah’s wisdom, this series will present multiple narratives. It is noteworthy that this series will present the concept of Dharam Yudh in a fresh perspective.
