The Kuwait government has taken a big and shocking decision, in which the children under 18 have been banned from getting tattoos. The government has taken this decision about health. The officials associated with the case have decided to implement strict rules according to the health experts. He said that the process of making tattoos uses needles and sharp tools, which are repeatedly used on different customers, then the risk of HIV, Hepatitis-B, Hepatitis-C and other infectious diseases increases manifold.

This risk of infection is not limited to tattoos only. If the machine is not fully sterilized, then normal cut or skin piercing can also cause serious infection. Therefore, the government has ordered that all salons remove permanent tattoo devices and use only safe and correct tools.

Security of children and youth The most important aspect of new rules
Kuwait has given priority to the safety of children and youth in new health guidelines. For people under 18 years of age, not only tattoos will be banned, but hair dye, tanning and any kind of cosmetic treatment will also be banned. The government believes that chemicals and ink related experiments can cause serious damage to children’s soft skin and health at an early age. For example, chemicals present in hair dye can cause allergies and scalp infections, while tanning can increase the chances of cancer of children.

New conditions on sharp tools and cosmetic products
Under the new rules, no sharp tools can be used again in salons and beauty parlors. New or fully sterilized kit will be mandatory for every customer. Also, only those cosmetic products will be used, which are licensed and approved by the Ministry of Health of Kuwait. This step will help in removing fake and harmful products from the market. This will also increase the confidence of the customers and the service providers will get an opportunity to live up to international standards.

Complete package of more than 130 new rules health and safety

This step of the Kuwait government is not limited to tattoos or salons only. The new instructions include more than 130 rules. Some of these are prominent:

  • Compulsory Health Certificate for Salon Employees.
  • Regular medical checkup of all workers.
  • The presence of lifeguards in gym and swimming pools.
  • CPR and First Aid Training Compulsory.
  • Regular checking of hygiene and sanitation in institutions.
