In the United Nations Security Council meeting, Israel accused Pakistan of sheltering terrorism. Israeli’s permanent representative Danny Danon said that Pakistan cannot change the truth that al-Qaeda kingpin Osama bin Laden got shelter on his land and ended there. He raised the question that when Bin Laden was killed in Pakistan, why was it not asked why he was given shelter? He clearly said that there was no exemption for bin Laden and there should be no exemption for Hamas.
Pakistani ambassador retaliation
At the meeting, Pakistan’s permanent representative Asim Iftikhar Ahmed termed Israel’s action as illegal and aggressive. He said that Israeli attacks on Hamas leaders in Doha are a threat to regional peace. Ahmed accused Israel of running a barbaric military operations in Gaza, breaking international laws in Syria, Lebanon, Iran and Yemen and repeatedly crossing border attacks.
Comparison of 9/11 and 7 October
Recalling the 9/11 terror attacks, Israeli representative Danon said that this day was the same for Israel as the October 7 attack. He reminded that after 9/11, the Security Council had made it clear that no country would give shelter, funding or safe where to the terrorists. According to Danon, the government that does so violates the rules of the United Nations Council.
What did Pakistan say?
On Israeli’s allegations, Pakistan said that it is completely ridiculous and unacceptable that the capture and attacker like Israel is misusing the United Nations Forum. Pakistan alleged that Israel is insulting the dignity and international rules of this forum.
