Union Home Minister Amit Shah took on Lalu Prasad, Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee and Mayawati and other opposition leaders and said that they were against the decision to remove Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Modi government has freed Bihar from Naxalism. Shah said that now Jungle Raj will not be allowed to return in Bihar and the government should be elected on the basis of development performance.

Earlier, while addressing an election rally in Khagaria district, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Bihar Assembly elections will decide whether Jungle Raj will return in the state or it will continue to move forward on the path of development. He hit out at the India Alliance for opposing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process of electoral rolls and said that every single infiltrator will be traced, their names will be removed from the electoral rolls and such people will be sent back to their countries.

Attacking Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Shah said, ‘Rahul Baba says that infiltrators should be allowed to live in Bihar. You tell me, should we let the infiltrators stay? No matter how many rallies he holds and Save Infiltrators Yatra, he cannot save the infiltrators. The Home Minister claimed that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government will again be formed in Bihar and said, ‘Our government will select each and every infiltrator and expel them from the country, they will be traced and sent back.’ He said, ‘This election is not an election to make anyone MLA, minister or chief minister. This election will decide whether Lalu-Rabri’s jungle raj will return to Bihar or with the coming of NDA, developed Bihar will make its mark in the entire country.

Amit Shah alleged that the identity of the opposition grand alliance is corruption and nepotism. He said that Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad only focused on the prosperity of his family. The Home Minister claimed, ‘Nitish Babu wants the overall development of the state, while Lalu ji wants to make his son the Chief Minister and Sonia Gandhi wants to make her son the Prime Minister. Therefore, only Narendra Modi ji and Nitish Kumar ji can worry about the sons and daughters of Bihar. There is not a single corruption charge against him, whereas Lalu ji has committed countless scams, from fodder scam to BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission) scam.

He alleged, ‘Incidents like murder, robbery, ransom and kidnapping were common during Lalu’s regime. Industries left the state and Bihar was made backward. Shah claimed, ‘Under the leadership of Nitish Babu, NDA freed Bihar from Jungle Raj, ended dynasty rule and most importantly, it also worked to end Naxalism.’

Wishing the people of Bihar on the occasion of Chhath festival, Shah said, ‘I wish that Bihar always remains free from jungle raj, law and order remains strong, sisters and daughters remain safe and the state continues to move forward on the path of development.’ He said that recently the NDA government has given Rs 10,000 in the accounts of one crore sisters engaged in livelihood. He further said, ‘Widow and old age pension has been increased from Rs 400 to Rs 1,100. The honorarium of Asha sisters has been fixed at Rs 3,000 per month. The dream of metro in Patna is now coming true.
