The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said that two hybrid militants associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) were arrested during the siege and search operation (CASO) launched in Basakuchan area of Shopian district of South Kashmir. Officials said that after special input, the campaign was jointly conducted by Shopian’s Special Campaign Group (SOG) in coordination with 44 RRs of the Indian Army and 178 battalions of CRPF.
Officials said weapons and ammunition have been recovered from them, including two AK-56 rifles, four magazines, 102 rounds of 7.62 × 39 mm, two grenades, two pouches, Rs 5400 cash, a mobile phone, a smartwatch, two biscuits packets and an Aadhaar card.
Recently, 26 people lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Even after this, the terrorists tried to infiltrate India, which was thwarted by the army. The security forces have killed many terrorists so far.
India gave a befitting reply to the terrorists from Operation Sindoor
India started Operation Sindoor after the Pahalgam terror attack. The army had destroyed many terrorist bases of Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Army conducted search operation
Security forces conducted a search operation after receiving information about the activity of suspected militants in the height areas of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. The Army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) also laid siege in areas with Lovang and Sarthal in Bani region. Army search operation was also conducted in other places including Kishtwar.
