Vishal mega mart karol bagh fire: A sudden fire broke out in the Vishal Mega Mart in Karol Bagh, Delhi, suddenly a sudden fire, which was successful in extinguishing the fire department after a hard work of 12 hours. A total of six fire engines were sent to the spot, who controlled the fire.

However, 2 people lost their lives in this horrific accident and crores of goods were gutted. One of the two people who died in this painful incident was 25 -year -old Dhirendra Pratap. He was preparing for UPSC and was a resident of Banaras.

Dhirendra’s last message from lift

After the fire, he got stuck in the lift and tried till the last breath to save his life from there and sent a message to his elder brother. The first message came at 6:51 pm- “Brother”, then wrote, “We have got gas (stuck) in the lift, Karol Bagh Mega Mart.” Perhaps “gas” was typed instead of “stuck” in nervousness. His last message was also at the same time, “Now do some mother -in -law.” After this, no message came to him. The police have expressed apprehension that Dhirendra died of suffocation.

There was not enough ventilation- officials

Officials said that there was not enough ventilation in the building, which took time to extinguish the fire. At the time of the incident, the fire spread so fast in Mart that people could not find a way to rescue. The lift, stairs and the main gates were filled with smoke. The fire department also described the lack of ventilation in extinguishing the fire.

At present, the cause of the fire has not been officially confirmed, but the preliminary investigation feared a short circuit. The police have registered a case regarding the incident and the investigation is on. The administration has sought full report of the accident and negligence is also being investigated. This cardiac incident has once again raised questions on the security system of commercial buildings in Delhi.
