The people of the capital are going to get the gift of metro soon. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday (August 19, 2025) reviewed the progress of the construction works of Patna Metro Rail Project.
During this time, Nitish Kumar inspected the site of Patna Metro Terminal in Bairia and reviewed the metro rail coaches, railway tracks, yard, power grid etc. Gave directions to the officers.
In the course of inspection, the Chief Minister inquired from the officials about the progress and other situation of the construction works of Patna Metro Rail. Officials told the Chief Minister that metro rail will be stagnated, maintained and clean in Patna Metro Terminal Complex in Bairia. Management work will be done for the smooth operation of the metro rail from the administrative building built here.
After this, the Chief Minister also reviewed the Zero Mile Metro Station. Talked to the officials regarding the progress and current situation of the ongoing construction work here.
During the inspection, Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department Abhay Kumar Singh informed the Chief Minister about the automatic ladder, ticket counter, passenger facility, public area, paid area, lift, way to platform and other facilities available at the metro station. The Chief Minister directed to expedite the construction work.
The Chief Minister said that we have been continuously inspection about the construction work of Patna Metro Rail Project so that construction is better. We have constantly instructed the officials regarding that there is no obstruction in the construction work.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Urban Development and Housing Department Secretary Abhay Kumar Singh, Chief Minister’s Secretary Kumar Ravi, Commissioner of Patna Division, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, District Magistrate of Patna, Dr. Tyagarajan SM. Including other senior officers of Patna Metro Rail Project were present.
