Google faces £ 5 billion lawsuit: A lot of action has been taken against Google in Britain. In this, a class action case of 5 billion pounds i.e. 55 thousand crore rupees has been filed against the tech company. It is alleged that Google has used its monopoly in online advertising markets and search. Thousands of companies have suffered heavy losses due to this move of Tech Company.

This lawsuit against Google has been filed in the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal on behalf of the Expert Professor or Brook of the Competition Act. On behalf of thousands of UK companies, they are fighting this case, who have used Google advertisement since 2011.

It is alleged that Google has made a default app for Chrome and Google search by compromising mobile companies, due to which no other search engine can work easily in Android devices. Along with this, Google is also alleged to have forced Britain companies to advertise at high prices using their monopoly.

Experts believe that the transparency of Google’s business model can raise a big question after this lawsuit. If the court has given this decision against Google, thousands of companies may have to pay compensation to it.

In addition, strict rules may apply in digital advertisements and the anti-trust investigations in Europe and America can also strengthen this decision. In its study in 2020, the Competition and Markets Authority of the UK had said that Google’s share in the advertising market in the search is more than ninety percent.
