How Blue Light Affects Biological Clock: Even though LED and other artificial lights are considered environmentally friendly, the blue light emitted from them can have a negative impact on sleep and increase the risk of diseases. Not every color of light has the same effect. Blue wavelengths are beneficial during the day, they improve attention, reaction time and mood. But this blue light proves to be the most harmful at night. With the increasing use of electronic devices with screens and energy-efficient lighting, the time spent exposed to blue light after sunset is continuously increasing.

The biological clock of those who stay up late at night is slightly longer, while that of those who sleep and wake up early is slightly shorter. Are night lights really harmful?

Some studies have indicated that exposure to light at night, such as working night shifts, may be linked to diabetes, heart disease and obesity. However, it has not been completely proven that night light is the direct cause of these diseases, and the reasons behind it still need further research.
