The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 171 kilometers from the ground. According to NCS, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at latitude 36.71 degrees north and longitude 74.32 degrees east. This area comes under Leh, Ladakh.

A mild earthquake was felt in Delhi on Monday morning. Its intensity was measured at 2.8 on the Richter scale. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the epicenter of the earthquake was located in North Delhi. According to NCS, the earthquake was recorded at 8:44 am on Monday. The epicenter of the earthquake was very close to the ground surface, whose depth is said to be only 5 kilometers.

Earthquake also occurred in Afghanistan
An earthquake of 4.0 magnitude was recorded in Afghanistan on Sunday evening. According to NCS, this earthquake occurred on January 18 at 8:30 pm (IST) at a depth of 10 kilometers. Earlier on Sunday morning, January 18, another earthquake of 4.1 magnitude had occurred in Afghanistan, which was recorded at 7:05:58 am (IST) at a depth of 10 kilometers. Apart from this, on January 15, an earthquake of 4.2 magnitude occurred in Afghanistan, the depth of which was said to be 96 kilometers.
