Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday (November 6, 2025) alleged that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is preparing to steal the assembly elections in Bihar like Haryana.
Addressing election rallies in East Champaran, Sitamarhi and Madhubani districts, he also claimed that the Election Commission (ECI) is working with the government to weaken the country’s Constitution and democratic rights.
Preparation to remove 65 lakhs from Bihar’s voter list – Priyanka
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, citing Rahul Gandhi’s press conference related to alleged vote theft in Haryana, said, ‘Just as they (NDA) stole the entire election in Haryana, in the same way they are preparing to do the same in Bihar by removing 65 lakh votes from the rolls. Your rights are taken away by such vote theft. This weakens the Constitution for which Mahatma Gandhi fought and my family members were martyred. Appealing to the public, he said, ‘You should form a government in Bihar which works for women, youth, farmers and the poor and not steals votes.’
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra targets election commissioners
Apart from this, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also met Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and two election commissioners S. S. Referring to Sindhu and Vivek Joshi, he claimed, ‘These are the highest officials of the Election Commission, who are playing with the Constitution and democracy of the country. These three people are taking away your rights. Memorize their names. Don’t let them hide behind posts and commissions.

BJP asks for votes in the name of religion, not in the name of development- Priyanka
Priyanka Gandhi claimed that if the assembly elections are conducted in a free and fair manner, the NDA government will be overthrown and replaced by a government that will work for the poor, women and youth. Priyanka Gandhi said, ‘BJP leaders urge people to vote for NDA in the name of religion and not for development. If this election is free and fair, then the people of Bihar will overthrow this government and elect a government which will work for the poor, women and youth.
Priyanka Gandhi’s counterattack on PM Modi’s remarks
Citing a statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the poster of the Grand Alliance, he said, ‘Narendra Modi keeps measuring photos of people in the posters of opposition parties. He is the Prime Minister of the country, doesn’t he have any other work?
Referring to Mahatma Gandhi’s movement in Champaran, the Congress General Secretary said, ‘We are leaders and workers of Congress, to whom Mahatma Gandhi showed the path. At the same time, it was your ancestors who showed this path to Mahatma Gandhi. The people of Bihar will have to understand their participation in this country. You have to understand that it is your ancestors who built this country.
Priyanka Gandhi raised the issue of paper leak
Raising the issue of paper leak, Priyanka said, ‘The youth continuously give exams, but the paper gets leaked again and again. In such a situation, many years of youth’s life are wasted waiting for examinations and appointments. This is the condition of youth in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. He claimed that Bihar has a single engine government and not a double engine, which is run by Prime Minister Modi.
Priyanka spoke on women getting Rs 10,000 in Bihar
Priyanka Gandhi said, ‘Narendra Modi wants to get votes by paying Rs 10,000 before the elections. Today there is migration and poverty in Bihar. People go to other states to earn for their families, but Modi-Nitish do not see this. He claimed, ‘NDA government has been in power for 20 years, but till date Modi has not even visited any village in Bihar to know the condition of the people. In reality they do not care about the public. These people are just busy in flashing their faces on TV and posters.
