A training microlight aircraft of the Indian Air Force suddenly lost control during flight in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh and fell into the pond behind KP College, in the heart of the city. As soon as the plane fell, there was a loud bang-like sound, which frightened the people nearby. Now a video of this incident has surfaced. It can be seen how the plane fell into the pond. During this time the parachutes of the plane had opened.
Local people immediately informed the police and administration. According to the information, initially the plane took off normally, but within a few moments its control got lost and it came down rapidly and fell into the pond behind KP College.
There were two pilots on board the plane at the time of the incident. At the same time, due to the sound like a loud explosion, a crowd of local people gathered on the spot. Four people immediately jumped into the pond and pulled the pilots out of the plane. DCP Manish Kumar Shandilya said that an Air Force microlight 2-seater aircraft was returning after taking off from Sangam. Suddenly the plane lost control and it fell into the pond behind KP College. There were two pilots on board the plane, who are completely safe. No civilian was injured on the spot.

The DCP said that as soon as the information was received, police and fire brigade teams immediately reached the spot and tightened security. Local police station and other rescue teams were also present on the spot. The promptness and courage of the local people at the time of the accident saved the lives of the pilots. DCP said that further action is being taken and the Air Force is also investigating the accident. This aircraft was on a routine training flight and this incident happened very suddenly.
A local person said that at around 12:15 pm he heard a sound like a loud bang. On looking outside he saw that the plane had fallen into the pond. People nearby immediately jumped into the pond and together pulled both the pilots out safely and no one was seriously injured.
