Chirag Paswan’s party Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has almost prepared the names of its candidates for Bihar Assembly elections 2025. LJP Ram Vilas will release its first candidate list on Wednesday (October 15) at 2.00 pm and the second list at 5.00 pm.
Chirag’s party is contesting on 29 seats in the NDA alliance and is preparing to field its candidates on all the seats. Apart from this, there is no difference of opinion with JDU nor has any party in the alliance talked to Chirag about the seats given to him.
According to sources, 27 out of 29 seats were announced earlier and option for some seats was given for 2 seats. From where he can field his candidates. The names of the candidates on those two seats will be finalized soon. Chirag Paswan said that symbols have been given to the candidates on some seats and the process of finalizing names on the remaining seats is going on.
LJP gave symbols of many candidates
Those to whom Chirag Paswan has distributed the symbols include the names of party state president Raju Tiwari, general secretary Sanjay Paswan, parliamentary board chairman Hulas Pandey and Chirag Paswan’s nephew Seemant Mrinal. Seemant Mrinal is the son of Dhananjay Paswan, who was appointed chairman of the State SC Commission by the Nitish government some time ago.
Who will contest the elections from where?
Raju Tiwari will contest from Govindganj seat, Seemant Mrinal from Garkha (reserved) seat, Sanjay Paswan from Bakhri (reserved) seat and Hulas Pandey will contest from Brahmapur seat.
Confusion persists on some seats
Of the 29 seats allotted to LJP (Ram Vilas), there are many seats which are currently sitting seats of JDU or other allies. This is the reason why the announcement of candidates on some seats has been stopped. According to party sources, as soon as the situation on these seats becomes clear, the list of remaining candidates will be released.
Will LJPR become the strong face of NDA?
According to sources, seat sharing in the NDA alliance has been finalized, although there is movement on some seats. Chirag Paswan says that LJP (Ram Vilas) will become a strong face of NDA in Bihar and is entering the elections with the aim of forming the government under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
The focus of the party is on giving opportunities to young and new faces. Now everyone’s eyes are on the second list to come at 2 pm, in which many popular names are likely to be included.
