The airport will remain closed till 11:59 pm on March 21 due to security reasons. Eurocontrol, an agency watching air traffic in Europe, has banned the landing of any flight at Heathro Airport. Flights are being diverted towards other airports due to air traffic disruptions.

The United Airlines turned the flight from New York to Shannon, Ireland in another direction.
