Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Hike: Even before the presentation of Budget 2026, the government has shocked the common people and businessmen. The government has increased the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 50. However, there has been no change in the prices of 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder. Domestic cylinders are still available at the old rate fixed on April 8, 2025.
Commercial cylinder prices increased from Delhi to Chennai
After LPG becoming expensive, the price of 19 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi has now become Rs 1740.50. Its price in Kolkata has increased to Rs 1844.50. In Mumbai it will now be available for Rs 1692.00, which was earlier Rs 1642.50. Its price in Chennai has now become Rs 1899.50. The government has clarified that this increase of Rs 50 has been made on commercial cylinders, which are used in hotels, restaurants, dhabas and other commercial purposes.

No change in the price of domestic LPG cylinder
There has been no change in the price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder used in homes. It was last changed on April 8, 2025. At present the prices of 14 kg domestic cylinder in different cities are as follows –
- Delhi: Rs 853
- Kolkata: Rs 879
- Mumbai: Rs 852.50
- Chennai: Rs 868.50
- Lucknow: Rs 890.50
- Ahmedabad: Rs 860
- Hyderabad: Rs 905
- Varanasi: Rs 916.50
- Patna: Rs 951
Prices are reviewed on the first of every month.
Government companies involved in petroleum marketing review the prices of LPG cylinders on the first of every month. Earlier in January, the prices of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders were increased. At the same time, in November and December last year, the prices of these cylinders were reduced by five and ten rupees respectively.
