In Rajasthan, a big road accident occurred late on Tuesday (October 7). On the Jaipur-Ajmer highway, a truck filled with LPG cylinder and a chemical-laden tanker collided face to face. The collision was so strong that due to this, there was a fierce blast in the cylinder truck and the voice was heard for several kilometers. The fire spread in both trucks, which appeared several kilometers away. The pieces of the cylinder fell on the vehicles nearby, causing almost a vision vehicle to be damaged and many people have been injured.
In the accident, the driver of the truck died on the spot, while the truck driver is also feared to be burnt alive. It is a matter of honor that no one of the people around the road was reported to have lost their lives. However, many people have been injured.
25km long jam at 6.00 am
The accident took place in Dudu area, about 70 km from Jaipur city. The next morning of the accident (Wednesday, 8 October), there is a 25 km long jam on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway at around 6.00 pm. This jam is expected to remain for hours, because it may take time to remove the debris of trucks after extinguishing the fire.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma immediately came into action mode in view of the possibility of many people injured in the fire and blast incident in a truck loaded with cylinder. He immediately sent Deputy CM Premchand Bairwa to the spot. On the orders of the CM, the way from the spot to the major hospital of the city was converted into a green corridor. Rapid relief and rescue operations are going on under the leadership of the Police Commissioner of Jaipur.
Jaipur’s SMS Hospital on Alert Mode
SMS Hospital in Jaipur has also been put on alert mode. The teams of doctors and other medical staff are ready for the treatment of the injured. Along with the ambulance from the Green Corridor, 20 vehicles of the fire brigade also reached the spot fast. The fire could be controlled after two and a half hours of hard work.
Cylinder pieces fell on vehicles
It is being told that after the blast, the pieces of cylinder fell on many other vehicles passing by. About 10-12 vehicles have been damaged in this and more than 5 people have suffered injuries. The sound of the blasts was also heard several kilometers away. The fire was seen far away.
After the collision, there was a fire in the front part of the chemical filled tanker. The driver of the tanker colliding in it has died. However, the administration has breathed a sigh of relief due to lack of loss of life despite a fire in chemical filled tankers and LPG cylinder trucks. Officials believe that a huge accident survived.
