Digvesh rathi fined: In IPL 2025, even 15 matches have not been completed yet that the players are constantly being fined. Till now Hardik Pandya and Ryan Parag had to pay a fine of Rs 12 lakh due to slow-over rate. Now Lucknow Super Giants leg-spin bowler Digvesh Rathi has been fined 25 percent of the match fee. This case is of the match of Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings played on 1 April.

Why imposed a fine?

Digvesh Rathi dismissed Punjab Kings opener Priyansh Arya on a score of 8 runs. After dismissing Priyansh, Digvesh went to him and indicated on his hand as if this Punjab Kings batsman was included in his hit list. Priyansh did not say anything in response and returned to the pavilion, but Digvesh Rathi had to pay heavy for his action.

Digvesh Rathi was also fiercely trolled on social media for such celebrations. Remind that Punjab Kings openers wanted to play a big shot on the front, but Digvesh had shocked him by ball at high speed.

Punjab team has power

Punjab Kings have emerged as one of the strongest teams of IPL 2025 so far. Shreyas Iyer is in amazing form, both of them have been rooted in matches. Iyer has scored 149 runs in 2 matches so far and has put a fifty in both matches. In the match against Lucknow, he scored an unbeaten 52 runs. On the other hand, Prabhasimran was a flop in the first match, but against Lucknow, he also wreaked havoc and played a stormy innings of 69 runs in 34 balls.

All the bowlers, including Arshdeep Singh, Marco Jansen, Lockey Furganus and Marcus Stoinis, are performing unitedly. Meanwhile, Nehal Vadhera has also emerged as big stars, who hit 43 runs in 25 balls against Lucknow Super Giants.
