Sri Lanka Army Commander India Visti: Sri Lankan Army Commander Lieutenant General BKGM Lasantha Rodrigo held talks with Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K and Indian Air Force President Air Chief Marshal AP Singh on Wednesday (11 June 2025). During this time, opportunities were discussed to strengthen bilateral defense relations and promote cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries. According to officials, before two separate meetings, the Sri Lankan General also had a thorough conversation with the Army Deputy Chief Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani. Both military officials discussed extensive issues including aspects of “defense cooperation and regional security concerns”.
The Ministry of Defense said, “Later Lieutenant General Rodrigo was informed about ‘Operation Sindoor’ and India’s security perspective. Along with him, other senior officers of the Indian Army also discussed issues of mutual interest. “Lieutenant General Rodrigo is on an official visit to India from 11 to 14 June.
